Music Time Bin

My daughter loves music. She is always singing and dancing around our home. I knew I would have to add a special music time into our preschool schedule. Here are some tools I have created to have a simple music time bin. I let each child choose from my music cards. These cards are just simple songs that most children know. I colored, cut, backed them in colored construction paper, cut them out again and then laminated them.

A few of these songs have finger movements, but for those who don't, I have made some cute visual aids. The children can hold them or you can hold them. Either way there is something to keep there attention or there hands busy.

Five Green and Speckled Frogs / Five Little Ducks
(Ducks drawn by my friend Katie)
Both of these I colored, cut, backed in colored constitution paper, cut again and then laminated. You can hot glue them to popsicle sticks or hot glue felt on to the back. I usually let each child hold one, but you can just use them as a visual aid on a felt board.
These little spiders I colored cut, and laminated. I then hot glued  them to black pipe cleaners, so each child can wrap them around there wrists.
Here are the twinkle twinkle stars. I colored, cut, laminated, and then mounted them on popsicle sticks.

These fun masks make singing Old Mac Donald a lot of fun. I found the pig and black cat in the target dollar bins a few weeks ago. The other ones I got in a eight pack from Lakeshore Learning Center.
